Using light and shadow, darkness and brightness, and time itself, intended as the measurement of man, photography has provided proof of the ebb and flow of cities and cultures. The pictures of Darkitectures catch time shortly setting it in stone. The voluntary memory of these pictures is a reminder of the stone not in its lifeless matter, but as the continuing of the living forms’ vital momentum. (Richard Pare)
